5/27/14Trend Alert: Vessels with personality

In the tradition of mid-century era Danish designer Bjorn Wiinblad and contemporary American designer Jonathan Adler, personified vessels have been popping up all over the place lately and I’m really into it. I love the playful, quirky feeling they bring to a vignette. One of my favorite ceramicists du jour, Atelier Stella (she made the smiling, tripodal vessel pictured above) is a great example.

Don’t you just love these guys? I wanna give each and every one of them a little kiss on the cheek. And as I type this I am trying to talk myself out of spending $85 on that brass one above–and if it’s gone by the time you read this it’s probably because I have no self-control what-so-ever when it comes to these little dudes. Help me Rhonda. Which is your fave?
