When I started this blog nine years ago I had absolutely NO CLUE where it would take me. I had no idea that this platform would lead me to a career in product and textile design — which I now understand to be my true passion. I had absolutely no idea this blog would become a ‘thing’ and that hundreds of thousands of people around the world would be as excited about color, pattern and plants in the home as I am. The above picture is such a great representation of how the internet (blogs, Instagram, Pinterest…) can truly help to manifest dreams — dreams that nine years ago I thought were only pipe dreams.
Today I’m sharing some snaps from the Jonathan Louis showroom from the Highpoint furniture trade show featuring my new collections. This was a pretty special market for me because it was the first time that I was really able to see whole rooms pulled together featuring so many of my designs across different media. From the fabrics to the lighting to the shapes of the sofas and the rugs, all of these pieces tell a story of some place or someone that inspired me. They all started with a simple idea and me putting pen to paper. Then it became a story of collaboration and togetherness. Working with a group of seriously talented people to bring everything to life.
Most of these furniture pieces are not yet available to the public. Hopefully they will be widely available at some amazing retailer come late summer. (The lamps, mirrors, and wallpaper are all mostly available in our shop.) Anyway, I guess I’m just feeling really grateful this morning. I worked as a graphic designer for many years before moving into the world of interior design simply by starting a blog about it. Being able to design furniture and textiles feels like the perfect marriage of those two trades and I’m just having so much fun. xxx ~j

Loved your story! Thanks for sharing. I have found myself in a very similar situation. My little blog has taken me to expand as well and have recently begun designing jewelry and accessories. Such a scary big step. You’ve given me hope and reminded me to have patience! Thank you! -ali @ IndigoTilt.com

I purchased some furniture and decor items from Ginny’s com and I must say, I am beyond impressed with my experience! From the moment I started browsing their website, I was captivated by the wide range of options they offer, for more reviews visit https://ginnys.pissedconsumer.com/review.html . The user-friendly interface made it a breeze to find exactly what I was looking for. The quality of the products I received exceeded my expectations, and the attention to detail in the design truly added a touch of elegance to my home. I am hopeful that Ginny’s com will continue to provide such exceptional products and service in the future.
