Studio visit with Janelle Pietrzak of All Roads.

Last week I got a real treat: a studio visit with Janelle Pietrzak, the textile master behind All Roads.

We met on Instagram, and when I saw that her studio was not far from my jungalow, I randomly asked her if I could make a studio visit (#boldmoves). I had a feeling she would be just as cool in real life as her weavings, her Pinterest and her Instagram are. And I was not wrong.

Her small but bright and airy space is full of inspiration at every turn. From her pastel potted cacti…

to her IRL pinboard and DIY’d ikat office chair.

Oh yeah…and then there are her weavings. Breathtaking, really.

It’s no surprise that Janelle worked for Anthro six years …

Her color and texture combos are so on point. The new lucite bars she’s hanging her weavings on?! Right on, right on.  All-Roads-Studio-justina-blakeney10   All-Roads-Studio-justina-blakeney1
She has a talit hanging on one of her walls, which tripped me out but also made me smile.

This work-in-progress is gonna be a honey.

and so is this one!

So much to covet here…right??

You can catch more of Janelle and All Roads in THREE (count ’em THREE) One Kings Lane sales coming up in November, and All Roads will also be contributing to Arts ReSTORE LA: a Westwood retail pop-up project running Nov 1-24 and is displaying with Ermie/Weltenbueger.  (Arts ReSTORE LA is an initiative by the Hammer that aims to re-energize Westwood Village and for three weeks in November, the Hammer will fill empty storefronts in Westwood with Angeleno artisans and craftspeople–cool yes?)

Thanks Janelle for letting us peek into your glorious, textured, fuzzy universe.
