5/9/13Pre-Colombian patterns at the Louisiana

Wow. This place has got A LOT of museums. We went to the Louisiana yesterday, and I have to say–it’s my favorite so far. There is SO much there, that, honestly, it’s enough blog fodder for like, a year worth of posts. But today, kinda randomly, I’m choosing to focus on their Pre-Colombian pottery collection today. (that top bowl KILLS me!)Once again, these bowls and patterns looked so modern to me–it wouldn’t shock me to see similar motifs on plates or bowls at West Elm or Anthro– in fact, I think think that doing a collection inspired by these pieces would be quite rad, don’t you think so? pre-colombian-bowl5 pre-colombian-bowl4 pre-colombian-bowl
