Dealing with a bad day
My mom is a super smart lady. Like besides her PHD form Harvard (seriously) she is just one of those people who emanates wisdom–she can be cryptic at times (or maybe she just goes over my head) but mostly she’s just really sagacious. One of the bits of wisdom that she gave to me I have found so helpful that I’d like to pass on to you. My mom says It’s never too late in the day to start your day over. And whenever I get a parking ticket, I spend two hours on the phone with a customer service robot, my computer crashes, someone pisses me off, or I’m just plain grumpy–instead of falling into the “I’m having a bad day” trap (which then makes the rest of my day bad by default) I simply choose to start my day over. It’s that simple. Thanks mom.
